Folk Development for Wales

trac is Wales’ Folk Development organisation. We’re all about celebrating Wales’ music and dance traditions, developing performers from beginners to the international stage, stimulating interest, and making sure our traditional arts remain a relevant, core part of our vibrant cultural life and identity.

Looking to hire professional folk artists? Our DIRECTORY provides contact information on musicians and storytellers, instrument makers, dance groups, workshop leaders and tutors.

What’s on? For locals and visitors alike, our EVENTS section provides information about both regular and one-off folk events taking place in Wales

Like to know more about the traditional arts of Wales? You can see videos, learn tunes and songs and read about their background in our RESOURCES zone.

On Facebook and Twitter we provide up to the minute news about folk arts in Wales, so like and follow us to keep in touch, and sign up for our “e-news” email list too.
