The Eisteddfod is fast approaching and the Tŷ Gwerin programme promises a feast of dance, live music and activities throughout the week. The Tŷ Gwerin yurt this year will be located near the Norwegian Church and entry to the performances and activities is free.

“Y Bwthyn” will be a new addition to the Maes this year. The trac, Welsh National Folk Dance Society and Clera stands will be located inside “Y Bwthyn” alongside the Tŷ Gwerin. “Y Bwthyn” will house the trac shop that will be selling traditional and folk CDs and books.

This year’s folk highlight has to be Pendevig, the big band extravaganza on Thursday evening happening in the Pavilion, which this year is located in the Donald Gordon Theatre in the Wales Millennium Centre.
